Anyone in the event planning industry will tell you that we are in the business of joyous occasions and, although sometimes stressful, we prefer to focus on the positives - and I couldn't agree more! Sadly, I will admit that it is for that reason (and not wanting to stress anyone out further!) that we (myself included) never talk about the dreadful "what ifs." Well in effort to be better prepared and better informed - I'm breaking that rule today!

Last week thousands of airplane passengers were grounded here in NY and Europe due to the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland hovering over Europe. I was forced to wonder how many of those passengers were traveling for a wedding, a bride or groom trying to get to their wedding (or honeymoon) or a wedding professional en route to a wedding - all scary thoughts.
