Rice, Rose Petals or Bubbles?

I met with a Bride and Groom today and the question come up about throwing rice after a ceremony. while we don't see too much rice thrown due to the detriment this causes for birds and other wildlife, we do recommend rose petals or bubbles to mark the occasion. some time ago, i witness a beautiful way to pass out the rose petals to be tossed during the recessional. This couple made copies of the sheet music from their first dance, rolled it into cones and used that to hold the petals. Myself and the guests were none the wiser to what the significance was of the sheet music, but when the song came on, everyone had a knowing smile on their face.
